Quick Weight Plans


Quick Weight Plans! This is a writeup on Bob Harper's (From the Biggest Loser) Beginner's Weight Loss Transformation DVD.

The workout comes about in a studio that's very bright and white, it's almost distracting. Harper with his fantastic fit group are wearing black and gray clothing probably so they can be seen against the stark white background. Their dumbbells may also be black.

The workout starts out with some stretching exercises. There is nothing creative about these stretches, they're probably the same ones you probably did in gym class in high school graduation. The stretching segments lasts rather less than 4 minutes.

You then pick up the weight load and do a little military type arm and shoulder exercises after which add squats before you move inside moves where your move your entire body down to the bottom and pull yourself up, something I dont view a lot of beginners enjoying. These lower than easy workouts are done in a very slow fashion though and as easy as this kind of exercise can be then you repeat everything. Then add in some pushups, just one or two but then you stand up and turn back down into a push up again; again less than simple for starters. I consider myself to get an advanced intermediate exerciser and I am hating this work out up to now, I am sure most beginners won't do it again. Then we relocate to jumping jacks (how original). There are then more importance bearing exercises that are fine along with a little more creative. Then there are more jumping jacks. Personally I hate jumping jacks. There are also lots of lunges, also not very creative and certainly not very fun, but extremely effective.

You then perform some yoga planks. At this point even Bobs fit group of staffers are shaking. Then you finally obtain a bit of relief with many quick deep breaths, and then you will end up in to knee lifts. Bob keeps mentioning this is a beginner workout, like he's trying to convince everyone that is a beginner workout. Im not buying it Bob. Add in most reverse table top exercises and I am really annoyed that this is being sold when just beginning workout. This is not just starting out exercise by any stretch of the imagination. Most beginners will not even be able to perform one of these not to mention the 15 the workout requires.

You repeat a lot of what you twice.

The workout ends with a few nice stretches. This is probably the only slightly easy thing workout, however, these are again stretches I did back in gym class within the 80s.

This workout is 46 minutes long.

10 Minute Beginner Abs

This 10 minute workout actually starts kind of nice and easy. There are some nice and easy moves for that obliques. He even gives some tips to help out beginners. Then he gets into to what I would call advanced exercises for that lower abdominals, but there's not that many ones. He then goes in to extremely advanced lower abdominal moves. Good thing this part of the work out is 10 minutes, since many beginners wont make it through the entire thing without a whole large amount of perseverance. In fact most beginners who dont heat up really well before accomplishing this could end up hurting their back. I am so annoyed that DVD is called a beginner work out. As depending on how I feel about it workout: It is often a good workout and not for beginners. The moves are tried and true and effective but not so original and not so fun. It is my belief that DVD will point most beginners screaming for the hills never to exercise again. This is simply not the ideal workout for beginners. Most from the moves are quite difficult, and someone who is just beginning to workout is not gonna return to a work out which is way to difficult for them and merely no fun in any way. I have to ask Mr. Harper if this is a beginner's workout then what constitutes and advanced exercise, leaping over buildings and sprinting so quick you pass trains. If you are intermediate level or higher and just like a challenging body building workout you should get this DVD, if you are just starting out i suggest you choose one of Leslie Sansone's 1 mile or 2 mile walk DVD's. You will enjoy them more, you will return to them often, and you will not risk injury as you very well might with Bob Harpers' Beginner's Weight Loss Transformation.
