Lose Weight Recipes! This is a report on Bob Harper's (From the Biggest Loser) Beginner's Weight Loss Transformation DVD.

The workout comes about in a studio that's very bright and white, it really is almost distracting. Harper and his awesome fit group are common wearing black and gray clothing probably to enable them to be seen contrary to the stark white background. Their dumbbells are also black.

The workout begins with some stretching exercises. There is nothing creative about these stretches, they are probably the same ones in college in gym class in high school. The stretching segments lasts a little less than 4 minutes.

You then grab the weight loads and do a little military type arm and shoulder exercises and after that add squats when you move within the moves where your move your whole body down to the ground and pull yourself up, something I dont go to a lot of beginners enjoying. These under easy work outs are done in a slow fashion though so that as easy as this type of exercise can be then you repeat everything. Then add in some pushups, only some but then you certainly stand up and return back down into a push up again; again not simple for novices. I consider myself to get an advanced intermediate exerciser and I am hating this work out to date, I am sure most beginners won't do it again. Then we move in to jumping jacks (how original). There are then more importance bearing exercises that are fine and a little more creative. Then there are more jumping jacks. Personally I hate jumping jacks. There can also be lots of lunges, also not to creative and certainly not so fun, but extremely effective.

You then perform some yoga planks. At this point even Bobs fit band of staffers are shaking. Then you finally get a bit of relief with many quick deep breaths, after which you will end up in to knee lifts. Bob keeps mentioning that this is a beginner workout, like he is trying to convince everyone until this is a newcomer workout. Im not buying it Bob. Add in certain reverse table top exercises and I am really annoyed that is being sold when getting started workout. This is not a newcomer exercise by any stretch with the imagination. Most beginners is not going to even be able to perform one of these let alone the 15 the workout requires.

You repeat a large amount of what you at least two times.

The workout ends with some nice stretches. This is possibly the only slightly easy thing workout, however, these are again stretches I did back in gym class within the 80s.

This workout is 46 minutes long.

10 Minute Beginner Abs

This 10 minute workout actually starts out kind of nice and easy. There are some nice and easy moves to the obliques. He even gives some pointers to help out beginners. Then he goes into to what I would call advanced exercises for the lower abdominals, but there are no longer that many ones. He then goes into to extremely advanced lower abdominal moves. Good thing this part from the work out is just 10 minutes, since many beginners wont make it through everything without a whole lot of perseverance. In fact most beginners who dont heat up really well before achieving this could end up hurting their back. I am so annoyed this DVD is called a novice work out. The workout does include some normal

As for how I feel about it workout: It is a good workout although not for beginners. The moves are tried and tested and effective but not too original and not too fun. It is my belief this DVD sends most beginners screaming for the hills never to work out again. This is simply not an appropriate workout for novices. Most of the moves are very difficult, and someone who is just beginning to workout is not going to return to a work out that is way to a hardship on them and just no fun in any way. I have to ask Mr. Harper if this can be a beginner's workout then what constitutes and advanced workout, leaping over buildings and sprinting so quickly you pass trains. If you are intermediate level or above and just like a challenging weight lifting workout by all means get this DVD, if you are a beginner i suggest you go along with one of Leslie Sansone's 1 mile or 2 mile walk DVD's. You will enjoy them more, you will come back to them more frequently, and you will not likely risk injury because you very well might with Bob Harpers' Beginner's Weight Loss Transformation.
